Job summary

Rhyno Equity Group is seeking an Accounting Manager to manage the full accounting cycle for two separately incorporated manufacturing entities. The role oversees financial reporting, tax compliance and day-to-day operations, supervising accounting and administrative staff and coordinating with the parent company.

The transition of in-house processes is a defined objective within the first year. Responsibilities include month-, quarter-, and year-end closes, payroll oversight, HST filings, T4/T4A

Qualifications

• Minimum five years progressive accounting experience.
• Demonstrated ownership of a full accounting cycle, including independent responsibility for close.
• Experience transitioning or implementing accounting systems and processes.
• Working knowledge of Canadian tax compliance, including HST, payroll remittances, T4 and T4A filings and CRA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Manage month-, quarter- and year-end close processes for each entity, including reconciliations, accruals and journal entries.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements for each entity.
• Prepare financial reporting and analysis for the parent company covering both entities.
