Job summary

Haakon Industries Ltd. is seeking a Finisher in the Finishing Department in Kingston, ON. This hands-on role prepares air handling units for shipment, ensuring components are installed, tested, and secured for safe transport.

Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and measurements.
• Strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Engage in demanding physical tasks to support production.
• Stand, walk, crawl, climb, lift, balance and carry materials as required to support production.
• Read and interpret drawings, work orders and instructions to guide assembly and finishing processes.
• Use measuring tools and perform mathematical calculations for accuracy and quality.
• Clean units using approved tools and chemicals, perform caulking and install components.
• Kit and prepare components to support efficient assembly and installation.
• Identify, resolve and report quality concerns to ensure products meet standards.
• Safely operate air tools, electric tools, fabrication equipment and rigging devices.
• Work from ladders and elevated work areas as required.
• Set up and perform testing and data collection for unit performance.
