Job summary

Alstom in Saint-Bruno, QC, seeks a full-time Sub-System Engineer – HVAC to design, develop and validate HVAC systems for passenger comfort and safety. You’ll collaborate with train architecture, procurement and manufacturing to align requirements and drive supplier collaboration.

You’ll take care of equipment sizing, integration, design reviews and validation activities, ensuring robust system performance across the railway platform.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or related field.
• Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ), or eligible.
• Experience in manufacturing or design environments.
• Experience in systems integration.
• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and software concepts.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Knowledge of HVAC design or aerodynamic principles is a plus.
• Proficiency in French and English.

Responsibilities

• Performing equipment sizing calculations.
• Developing equipment integration and ducting architecture.
• Analyzing system requirements and aligning them with other engineering disciplines.
• Reviewing supplier proposals.
• Overseeing equipment development and validation.
