Service Technician - Job Description

A Service Technician is an experienced field professional responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining complex mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems. This role typically includes a mix of hands-on technical work, customer interaction, mentoring junior technicians, and ensuring high-quality service delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform advanced diagnostics on HVAC, refrigeration, or mechanical systems.
  • Troubleshoot and repair equipment failures using technical expertise and manufacturer guidelines.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance to improve system performance and reduce downtime.
  • Install, commission, and test new equipment or system upgrades.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior or apprentice technicians.
  • Document service activities, including parts used, work performed, and recommendations.
  • Maintain strong customer relationships, explaining findings and solutions professionally.
  • Interpret schematics and technical manuals for complex systems.
