Qualifications

HVAC Quality Assurance Technician- Richmond Hill, Georgia

Position Summary:

The HVAC Quality Assurance Technician plays a critical role in maintaining the highest standards of workmanship and customer satisfaction. This position is responsible for performing quality control inspections on all new HVAC system installations, completing warranty-related service calls, and addressing callback issues following initial installs. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to ensuring every customer receives a properly functioning and professionally installed system.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct post-installation quality control checks to ensure systems are installed according to company standards, local codes, and manufacturer specifications.

  • Respond to and resolve warranty service calls efficiently and professionally.

  • Handle callback visits related to new HVAC installations, diagnosing and correcting issues to ensure full customer satisfaction.

  • Document findings from quality inspections and service calls; report recurring issues or installation trends to management.

  • Provide feedback and training support to installation teams when quality concerns arise.

  • Ensure all work meets safety regulations and internal quality protocols.

  • Maintain detailed service records using company systems and forms.

  • Communicate effectively with customers, team members, and supervisors.

  • Assist with process improvement efforts to reduce installation errors and callbacks.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in HVAC installation or service required.

  • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills in residential HVAC systems.

  • EPA Certification required; NATE Certification a plus.

  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.

  • Valid driver's license with clean driving record.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

  • Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying conditions.

  • Climb ladders, work in attics, crawlspaces, and tight spaces as needed.

License/Certification:

  • Driver's License (Required)

Compensation:

  • $30-$35 hourly, depending on experience.
