Job summary

Trane in British Columbia is hiring an Equipment Estimator to join our team. You will be closely interacting with customers, account managers, other assigned project managers, technicians and suppliers to ensure timely completion of assigned estimates and project execution.

Responsibilities include technical selection and pricing of equipment for each project. Must be able to provide estimating support to the equipment sales team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field with 1–3 years of estimating/PM experience.
• Strong communication and proactive, team-oriented work style.
• Experience prioritizing tasks to meet tight deadlines.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office programs.
• Familiarity with HVAC systems and controls.
• Willingness to overtime/weekends as required.
• Valid driver0s license with clean record and ability to travel locally.

Responsibilities

• Review plans and specs to develop cost estimates for Trane projects.
• Provide knowledge and consultation to develop facility solutions for customers.
• Determine project needs to meet HVAC system design and installation requirements.
• Develop, evaluate, and discuss solutions with Account/ Project Managers, Sub-contractors, suppliers, and customers.
• Coordinate equipment selection, pricing, and services for each project.
• Prepare and review preliminary and final proposals; submit equipment submittals.
• Assist Account Managers to determine proposal price and project schedule.
