A reputable HVAC service provider in Ottawa seeks an Apprentice to assist Journeyman technicians with HVAC/R units. Qualifications

• Basic understanding of Mechanical Installation and repairs.

Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on HVAC equipment for commercial customers.
• Installation of HVAC/R-related equipment and components.
• Assist Journeyman technicians in the overhaul and servicing of HVAC/R units and systems.
• Perform maintenance and repair on refrigeration equipment and systems.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
• Perform all job functions in a safe and healthful manner, abiding by and in accordance with all applicable Health, Safety, and Environmental company policies and government legislation/regulations.
• Contribute to the ongoing training and mentoring of indentured apprentices.
• Adhere to the Company’s Quality System operating procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Management.

Qualifications

• Must currently registered as an Apprentice - 1st to 5th year.
• Valid Ontario Driver's License.
• Basic understanding of Mechanical Installation and repairs.
• Excellent Math and problem solving skills.
• Ability to work alone and in a team environment.
• Must be able to lift heavy materials, tools and equipment when required.

The pay range is $23.29 - $51.27 per hour. The compensation for this position is as per the collective agreement.
