Job Description
HR duties include:
- Full cycle recruitment to meet staffing goals within the plant and office
- Developing and implementing initiatives for recruiting diverse talent
- Updating job descriptions, postings, and advertisements
- Representing Canam Group at job fairs, events, and career days
- Providing HR support and advising on policies, procedures, employment standards, and the collective agreement
- Performing other duties as assigned
Training duties include:
- Developing, delivering, and updating training materials and sessions using adult learning practices
- Conducting needs assessments and shaping learning solutions
- Collaborating with subject matter experts to develop training content
- Supporting employees and fostering training adoption within the facility
- Participating in continuous improvement processes
- Maintaining training certifications as per company policies
- Supporting Health & Safety and HR Managers as needed
Qualifications
- Minimum of two years of relevant experience, with education in human resources management and knowledge in training content development, technical writing, and communications
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, multitasking, and prioritization abilities
- Analytical mindset with quick learning and information-seeking skills
- Ability to transform technical content into engaging training tools
- Proficiency with e-Learning systems and software, with the ability to learn new applications
- Experience with ESL training and coaching
- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills; French is a plus
- Service-oriented, problem-solving skills, effective communication, and flexibility to adapt to changing conditions, including evening and weekend training if required
