Duties & Responsibilities
Recruitment & Talent Acquisition
- Manage full-cycle recruitment, from sourcing to onboarding
- Partner with hiring managers to understand needs and deliver a seamless candidate experience
- Build and maintain talent pipelines using various tools and partnerships
- Handle offboarding processes professionally and empathetically
- Stay updated on recruitment trends in clean-tech and manufacturing
HR Operations & Systems
- Maintain accurate employee data in BambooHR, conduct audits
- Manage system updates, documentation, and user training
- Support HR file maintenance and communication on HR processes
- Assist with compliance, policy reviews, and attestations
Employee Experience, Engagement & Culture
- Implement engagement initiatives and recognition programs
- Coordinate performance management cycles
- Support training and development programs
- Collaborate to enhance employee experience
- Analyze engagement data and recommend improvements
Employee Relations & Policy Guidance
- Support managers with employee relations issues
- Coach employees and leaders on workplace challenges
- Provide guidance on employment standards, health & safety, and legislation
- Handle issues with tact and discretion
Compensation, Benefits & Compliance
- Conduct salary benchmarking and support merit / bonus processes
- Administer benefits programs in Canada and the U.S.
- Support classification reviews and job descriptions
- Ensure compliance with employment laws
- Support health and safety initiatives
Qualifications
- 4–5 years HR experience, including 2 years in a generalist role
- CHRP / CHRL (or in progress) preferred
- Experience in manufacturing, start-up, or clean-tech is a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or related field
- Strong knowledge of Ontario Employment Standards Act and U.S. employment practices
- Ability to handle confidential information professionally
- Experience improving HR processes
- Advanced MS Excel skills
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Proactive, solutions-oriented mindset
- Experience supporting multi-entity organizations is advantageous
