Our client is manufacturer looking for an HR Generalist for their operations in Bradford, ON.
Job Summary:
Maintains and enhances the organization’s human resources by planning, implementing, and evaluating employee relations and human resources policies, programs and practices.
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage the on-boarding process, including logistics setup, entering employee information into the system of record and co-ordination of employee orientation.
- Act as the in-house expert in relevant HR law and employment legislation.
- Manage performance management process, including investigations, discipline, PIPs, terminations and employee evaluations.
- Assist in investigations of employee complaints.
- Coordinate internal and external employee training activities.
- Advise and assist other managers on interpretation and administration of personnel policies and programs.
- Organize and/or conduct employee information meetings on employment policy, benefits and compensation, workers compensation, occupational health and safety, etc.
- Administer the benefits, salary compensation, and group programs.
- Process payroll (ADP), and associated accounting and finance reports.
Education & Experience:
- University degree in Human Resources or equivalent degree.
- A minimum of 5 years experience in a progressive employee relations position, with exposure to all facets of Human Resources.
- Full range of generalist experience, including employee relations, ESA compliance, training and coaching both employees and managers.
- Ability to handle sensitive personnel issues and can maintain strict confidentiality
- Ability to listen/understand needs of the business, ask questions and communicate effectively with all levels of staff.
- Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- ADP payroll processing experience preferred.
