Job description

Position summary:

Reporting to the Global Head of Human Resources Operations, you will act as coach and Human Resources (HR) subject matter expert for our Dermo-Cosmetics manufacturing facility in Baie d’Urfé, Canada. You will be accountable for providing HR leadership across key HR areas, focusing on flawless execution of the full employee lifecycle, including organizational development, workforce planning, and driving transformation.

As HR Director, you will implement the site HR strategic direction and guidance in all aspects of people management, in close partnership with the HR Centers of Excellence, the wider HR community, and the site leadership team to ensure alignment with business strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Represent the HR strategy and policies at the manufacturing site, ensuring understanding and alignment between HR and functional leaders.
  2. Implement HR initiatives locally to support the business strategy, including culture, employee engagement, performance management, talent development, and total rewards.
  3. Partner with Shared Service Teams to ensure HR governance and collaborate with HR Centers of Excellence to embed policies and processes.
  4. Promote continuous improvement processes to reduce costs, enhance quality, and increase efficiency.
  5. Ensure compliance with statutory duties, regulations, legislation, and organizational policies related to quality management, health and safety, legal, ethics, and environmental standards.
  6. Build strong relationships with key leaders, HR leaders, and employee representatives to develop HR tactical plans that support business goals and growth.

Skills & Qualifications:

  1. Extensive experience as a Senior HR business partner or site lead in an international, matrix environment, preferably in the Cosmetics or Pharmaceutical industry.
  2. Proven ability to drive strategic programs, manage change, and influence stakeholders.
  3. Experience working effectively in multicultural settings, gained through regional roles or international postings.
  4. Highly organized project planner with the ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and remain resilient under stress.
  5. Strong knowledge of Social Security, Labor Law, and Employee Relations in Canada.
  6. Fluent in French and English.
  7. University degree in Human Resources, Social Science, Business Administration, or related field.
