Job Summary: The HR Coordinator manages day-to-day HR operations within the Department of Orthopaedics, including recruitment, appointments, reappointments, terminations, leaves, and promotions for staff, students, and select faculty groups. Responsibilities also include ensuring compliance with policies, providing guidance on salary administration, assisting with job descriptions, and supporting special HR projects.
Organizational Context: The department is renowned for excellence in teaching, research, and patient care, comprising over 200 faculty members across various divisions. The HR Coordinator reports to the Administrative Manager and collaborates with multiple university offices to support departmental functions.
Key Responsibilities:
Minimum Qualifications: Undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline with 2-3 years of related experience or equivalent combination.
Preferred Qualifications: Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field; CPHR designation or progress towards it; experience in academic settings; proficiency in Microsoft Office.
