About the Role:
Provides consistent high quality recruitment practices to attract and retain top talent while providing HR support to maximize organizational effectiveness and help drive Eastern’s competitive advantage through our people practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate end-to-end recruitment activities including resume screening, applicant evaluation, reference checks, offer letter preparation and onboarding processes. Track and analyze recruitment metrics to monitor hiring effectiveness and recommend improvements.
- Organize and support career fairs, campus recruitment drives, and orientation programs while building and maintaining strong relationships with colleges, universities and external recruiters to enhance employer branding.
- Source, enroll, track, and monitor employee training activities, offering recommendations to enhance training and development programs.
- Provide coaching and resources to managers and employees regarding compensation, performance management, staffing, and employee relations, promoting engagement and continuous improvement.
- Respond to employee concerns with active listening, professionalism, and confidentiality, ensuring timely resolution and follow-up with a strong customer service focus and building and maintain effective working relationships across all levels of the organization.
- Implement HR best practices aligned with business goals, ensure compliance with the Employment Standards Act, 2000 and relevant regulations, and stay current on legal updates to recommend necessary policy improvements.
- Investigate and address employee issues by analyzing concerns, identifying potential solutions, and escalating when necessary.
- Continuously seek ways to improve individual and team performance, show openness to innovation, and contribute ideas for more effective HR practices.
What We’re Looking For:
- Education: Post-Secondary Education or College Diploma in Business or Administrative Studies, Human Resources or equivalent work experience. Continuing education in Human Resources best practices preferred.
- Experience: Minimum Three years prior related experience
- Technical Skills:Proficient in Microsoft Office and LinkedIn Recruiter (preferred).
- Key Traits: Communication Skills (written and verbal),Multi-tasking, Problem Solving, Attention to detail, Continuous Improvement, Prioritization, Innovation Management and Stakeholder Management.
