Job description

Position Summary

Provides administrative support to one or more human resources functions, including recruiting, onboarding, employee/labour relations, compensation, benefits, disability management, training, and/or employee records. Play's a crucial part in facilitating communication between employees and management, addressing HR-related inquiries, and supporting HR initiatives to ensure a positive and compliant work environment.

Location: Oshawa, Ontario
  • Car and driver's license are required
Schedule

40 hours Monday to Friday

What You Will Do
HR Support
  • Maintain accurate employee records and HRIS database (Dayforce).
  • Process employee status changes including promotions, transfers, leaves, and terminations.
  • Prepare employment letters and HR documentation.
  • Monitor probationary review dates and other employee milestones.
  • Assist with HR reporting and metrics.
  • Supporting and investigating grievances in a partially unionized environ
Employee Support
  • Respond to employee and manager inquiries regarding HR policies, benefits, leaves and company programs.
  • Support leave administration and accommodation processes.
  • Support employee recognition and engagement initiatives.
HR Compliance
  • Ensure compliance with the Canada Labour Code and company policies.
  • Support workplace investigations.
  • Assist with audits and compliance reporting.
Projects
  • Participate in HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Assist with policy updates, HR communications and implementation of new programs.
What You’ll Bring
