Learn more at TEKsystems.com. Job Summary : The Human Resources Business Partner assists in the implementation of Human Resource services, policies, and programs in support of TEKsystems’ goals. The HRBP will be responsible for supporting an employee-oriented, high-performance culture which emphasizes quality, productivity and standards, goal attainment, and ongoing development. This position provides high quality, proactive and professional day-to-day service to both internal and external TEKsystems Global Services (U.S and Canada) and Talent Services (Canada) customers. May require up to 20% of travel. Responsibilities Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Consult with leadership on people strategy, HR processes, policies and programs, and their corresponding impact on the business
  • Provide guidance on and ensure compliance with employment, law, Human Rights legislation and internal policies.
  • Analyze reports from the executive dashboard and Glint to identify trends, and provide guidance and recommendations related to employee engagement and retention, attrition, workforce planning, and other talent acquisition and talent management activities
  • Effectively manage change related to Human Capital programs and HR goals
  • Collaborate with other key partners (Employee Experience, Front Office, etc.) to enhance service levels to customers
  • Actively participate in relevant meetings held by local and regional leadership to understand key business drivers, assess needs and identify issues proactively
  • Recommend innovative solutions to operate in an efficient and cost-effective manner
  • Identify opportunities and drive process improvement, both for the business and the HR team
  • Engage with leadership in talent review, promotion and transfer decisions, and succession planning; coach managers to develop their leadership skills
  • Counsel and / or coach Business Line / Practice Leaders in accordance with company policies and legal practices on employment law matters involving hiring, transfers, promotions, internal and external training, conflict resolution, progressive discipline, terminations and other facets of the employee life cycle
  • Recommend and assist in the development and implementation of new policies and procedures to increase departmental and organizational efficiency
  • Support on-boarding and exit process as needed, including conducting exit interviews
  • Guide leaders on stay interview process, analyze data and strategize with them on actionable items
  • Maintains in depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, while mitigating legal risks
  • Handles employee relations counseling, in accordance with various regulations and human resource procedures
  • Conducts investigations when employee complaints or concerns are brought forth
  • Provides guidance on and assists in administering disciplinary action when necessary
  • Investigate and provide written response to government agency charges / concerns
  • Under direction of senior HR leadership and in-house legal counsel, responds to charges and claims and may participate in mediation sessions
  • Serve as the HR point of contact for managers and employees and maintains a strong partnership with Recruiting and Support Services teams
  • Advises and trains managers in the best employee relations practices and strategies for managing problems and employee grievances
  • Trains and educates leaders and employees on human resources procedures
  • Audits human resource processes to ensure compliance with federal and state / provincial regulations, as well as TEKsystems’ standards
  • Perform other related duties as required and assigned Qualifications Required Education and / or Experience :
  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Human Resources Management
  • Four years of professional human resources administration, including two years in employee relations preferred OR its equivalent through training, education, and other experience.
  • CPHR or CHRP Certification preferred
  • Current knowledge of employment and Human Rights law specific to all Canadian provinces.
  • Knowledge of Employment Equity (Federal Contractors Program), Ontario and Quebec Pay Equity, and Francization legislation (Quebec) preferred but not required.
  • Proven experience in effectively partnering with all levels of employees, including C-Suite leadership
  • Strong background in customer service
  • Travel as necessary to Canadian regional offices and corporate headquarters in Hanover, MD may be required Requisite Abilities and / or Skills :

  • Up to 10% travel may be necessary Compensation / Benefits : Salary range based on experience : $80-120k USD plus annual bonus potential.
