Job summary

A leading healthcare provider in Ontario seeks a Human Resources Associate to support key HR functions across multiple sites. The ideal candidate will manage various administrative tasks, assist with onboarding, and provide exceptional customer support, all while fostering an inclusive work environment. This full-time temporary role requires a post-secondary education in Human Resources, alongside preferred CHRP designation.

Qualifications

  • Experience in HR role, preferably in a hospital or unionized setting.

  • Strong organizational and analytical skills are essential.

Job Description

Position Overview:

Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, the Human Resources Associate provides administrative and technical support for a variety of Human Resources functions. The incumbent will handle operations, support various HR administrative functions including but not limited to: meeting with new staff to guide or answer questions related to on-boarding, supporting employees going on or returning from leave of absence, answering questions about HR process, benefits or general HR questions, process employee transactions, calculate seniority, prepare reports, and provide front desk and employee helpline support among other responsibilities

The successful candidate will be required to work on-site and may be scheduled at any of the SHN hospital sites based on departmental needs.

Requirements

  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources
  • CHRP designation preferred
  • Experience working in a Human Resources role, preferably in a hospital or unionized environment
  • Experience working with a Human Resources Information System
  • Demonstrate proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to work as a member of a team and to interact with all levels of staff
  • Must possess excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) and exceptional customer service skills
  • Strong organizational, analytical and administrative skills are required
