Human Resources Advisor (Contract/Mat Leave)

Job Overview

Under the responsibility of the Director of Human Resources, the incumbent will act as a generalist, participating in all human resources management activities to ensure smooth operations.

Key Responsibilities

1. Provide advisory support as an HR expert to employees and managers, focusing on mobilization, performance management, development, and labor relations.
2. Manage the employee lifecycle from onboarding to offboarding.
3. Coordinate onboarding and integration of new employees.
4. Participate in annual performance evaluations and salary planning processes.
5. Respond to HR policy and process inquiries, advising managers accordingly.
6. Manage short and long-term disability cases, maintaining communication with employees, insurers, and managers.
7. Contribute to the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
8. Develop and improve HR management tools and participate in special projects.
9. Maintain employee files ensuring confidentiality.
10. Assist in administering pension plans and group insurance.
11. Prepare and publish monthly HR reports.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in human resources management, industrial relations, or related field.
• At least three (3) years of experience as a generalist in HR.
• Knowledge of HR systems like SuccessFactors or Workday is an asset.
• Understanding of labor laws and experience in advisory roles.
• Autonomous, problem-solving skills, with good stress management.
• Excellent prioritization skills with flexibility.
• Strong communication skills in both English and French.
• Teamwork, diplomacy, empathy, and confidentiality.
• Willingness to travel regularly to Boucherville & Chambly, QC facilities.
