Job summary

Windsor Regional Hospital is seeking an HR professional to manage recruitment within unionized groups and strengthen staffing for current and future needs.

You will work with managers to maintain seniority lists, coordinate postings, screen applicants, and support onboarding. The role requires CHRP or equivalent experience, and 3+ years in HR with privacy compliance and MS Office proficiency.

Qualifications

  • Experience in recruitment, onboarding and maintaining seniority lists in a unionized setting.
  • Knowledge of privacy and employment-related legislation is required.
  • Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and Outlook is expected.

Responsibilities

  • Maintaining ongoing consultation with managers requesting staff recruitment and position management.
  • Providing up-to-date Seniority Lists for bargaining units per collective agreements.
  • Posting internal and online jobs in line with collective agreements.
  • Generating applicant listings and verifying qualifications against seniority dates.
  • Coordinating interviews and selection processes.
  • Preparing letters of offer or regret for candidates.
  • Ensuring onboarding of new employees within designated groups.
  • Documenting in HRIS and payroll records; other databases as needed.
  • Coordinating with Labour Relations on issues impacting the group.
  • Collaborating with Learning Resources for applicable training.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Summary:

To ensure effective and efficient recruitment, hiring, and retention within unionized personnel groups and to support and strengthen staffing resources for Windsor Regional Hospital's current and future needs.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Maintaining ongoing consultation with the Manager(s) requesting staff recruitment and position management
  • Providing up-to-date and accurate Seniority Lists for bargaining units in accordance with collective agreement(s)
  • Composing and generating internal and online postings, ensuring compliance with the appropriate elements of the collective agreement(s)
  • Generating applicant listing, including verifying qualifications and referencing to seniority dates and circulating information to the requesting manager
  • Coordinating interviews and selection processes
  • Preparing letters of offer and/or regret, to internal and external candidates
  • Ensuring appropriate onboarding of all new employees within the designated groups
  • Documentation within HRIS and payroll records and other databases as needed
  • Providing pre-placement interviews to new staff members and scheduling Employee Health reviews
  • Assisting in maintaining of personnel files and file room
  • Coordinating with Labour Relations in dealing with issues impacting assigned group
  • Coordinate with Learning Resources for applicable training programs
  • Other duties as assigned
Skills/Capabilities:
  • Demonstrated experience in HR functions within a unionized environment including recruitment, onboarding and preparation/maintenance of seniority lists
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience ensuring compliance with privacy and other employment-related legislation
  • Advanced level skills and experience in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Experience using HR information systems to access, input and compile data (Infinium preferred)
  • Experience with preparing statistical reports and benchmarking activities
  • French Language proficiency an asset
Qualifications:
  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources required; Certified Human Resources Professional designation (CHRP) and/or equivalent experience required;
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Human Resources required
