City of Campbell River is seeking an HR Generalist to support recruitment, training, talent management, workforce planning, employee and labour relations, disability management and compensation and benefits. The role emphasizes collaborative problem solving in a unionized setting and requires strong communication and judgment.

You will develop and implement HR policies and provide expert guidance on all employee relations matters.

Competenze

• Minimum 5 years of recent HR Generalist experience in a unionized environment.
• CPHR designation completed or in progress.
• Member in good standing with CPHR BC & Yukon, or another provincial association.
• Valid Class 5 Driver's License with clean driving record.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

• Degree or diploma in Business or Public Administration, preferably with a major in Human Resource Management.
• Minimum 5 years of recent HR Generalist experience working in a unionized environment.
• Chartered Professional Human Resources (CPHR) designation.
• Member in good standing with CPHR BC & Yukon, or other provincial association.
• Must possess and maintain a valid Class 5 Driver's License, and produce and maintain a clean driver's abstract, as per City policy.

• Lead in the development and implementation of human resource management policies, programs and services, and provides expertise, advice and guidance on all employee and labour relations matters.
