Human Resource Manager (Edmonton, AB)

At Total Life, we're reimagining how older adults access therapy, wellness, and whole-person support—and we're just getting started. With tens of thousands of sessions delivered and rapid national expansion underway, we're looking for a HR Manager to lead and scale the people systems that fuel our mission.

This role is ideal for someone who sees HR as a strategic growth function. You'll help us 10x our provider network, nurture culture across a distributed team, and build the talent infrastructure to support our growth across Canada and the U.S.

What You'll Do

  • Lead HR and recruitment strategy to support company-wide growth—especially across clinical, operations, and tech—and help us 10x our provider network over the next two years
  • Develop creative recruiting pipelines by building partnerships with universities, training programs, and professional associations
  • Design and implement scalable onboarding, supervision, and ongoing training that supports clinical quality and a thriving provider community
  • Build and manage HR systems across payroll, benefits, compliance, and performance—balancing structure with startup agility
  • Champion a mission-driven culture, partnering with leadership to align values, drive engagement, and support a high-performing team

Edmonton, Alberta (Please note that remote work will be considered for exceptional candidates with occasional travel to Edmonton)

Job Type

Job Type: Full-Time (40 hours per week, Monday to Friday)

Requirements

What We're Looking For

  • 5+ years of progressive HR leadership experience (startup, healthcare, or high-growth environments a plus)
  • Experience scaling provider or clinician teams is highly valued
  • Passion for mental health and wellness, and a deep appreciation for the work of therapists and care teams
  • Knowledge of Alberta employment law and HR compliance (or a strong ability to ramp up quickly)
  • A builder's mindset—you love turning ambiguity into systems and ideas into action

Salary Range

$65,000 - 85,000 CAD per year
