HUB International in Burnaby offers a full-time, paid internship from May 3 to August 27, designed to expose students to Commercial Lines, Employee Benefits, and Retirement & Private Wealth teams.

You'll gain hands-on client service experience, learn from industry experts, and participate in mentorship, networking events, and community initiatives while developing core skills for a future in insurance. The program includes professional development workshops and CIAB scholarship opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with sales and service teams to serve clients across the United States and understand regional needs.
• Assist in policy administration, endorsements, renewals, data management, and claims processing.
• Support analysis of United States insurance markets and regional trends.
• Participate in workshops and training sessions to strengthen your skills.
• Prepare reports and presentations to communicate project updates, findings, and recommendations to internal stakeholders

Business Practice Assignment

Our internship will allow you to gain hands‑on experience working alongside our Commercial Lines (Business Insurance), Employee Benefits, and Retirement & Private Wealth team, learning the ins and outs of our business while exploring areas like client service, sales, and more. Throughout the program, you’ll learn directly from industry experts across risk, insurance, employee benefits, retirement, and wealth management, building both your professional skills and the foundation for a successful future career. Full‑time, paid, May 3 to August 27 (17‑week) internship working out of our Burnaby or Downtown Vancouver Offices

HUB International is proud to offer a robust total rewards package that could include employee health and welfare benefits and paid time away perks based upon the status of the offered position and physical work location. The expected salary range for this position is $21/hour. HUB classifies its intern positions as temporary status which means interns could qualify for paid time off benefits such as sick and/or vacation accruals provided under BC applicable laws as well as relevant unpaid time off benefits. In addition, all interns are eligible to participate in extensive personal and professional development programming.
