Hastings District Council is seeking a Health, Safety & Wellbeing Coordinator to support risk management and safety across diverse operations. The role involves practical training, coaching, and advising managers, staff and contractors, with on-site audits and incident investigations. An after-hours on-call roster is required.

You will work with a knowledgeable team to foster a positive safety culture and continually improve procedures across offices, facilities, parks, pools, roads and sites.

Qualifikationen

• Recognised tertiary qualification in Health and Safety or actively pursuing one.
• Minimum 2 years in a similar H&S role.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Solid understanding of risk management, audits, investigations and reporting.
• Hands-on approach with commitment to health, safety and wellbeing.

Aufgaben

• Support day-to-day management of risk and safety across operations.
• Promote a positive safety culture among staff, contractors, and volunteers.
• Provide practical training, coaching and advice.
• Conduct site audits, inspections and incident investigations.
• Review and improve HSW procedures and contribute to wider initiatives.
• On-call after-hours rostered shifts as required.
