Job summary

NordSpace Corp in Markham, Ontario is seeking an HSSE Manager to own and lead Health, Safety, Security, and Environment across facilities in a demanding space-system R&D and manufacturing setting.

You will set HSSE strategy, mature the management system, manage regulatory compliance, risk reduction, and protection of people, assets and IP, while advising senior leadership and promoting a proactive safety culture.

Qualifications

• 5+ years HSSE experience in heavy industry with leadership responsibility.
• Deep knowledge of Ontario OHSA, WHMIS 2015, WSIB.
• Experience building formal HSSE management systems.
• Experience with physical security and CGP administration is a strong asset.
• Willingness to travel between sites.

Responsibilities

• Own the enterprise HSSE management system and set multi-year strategy.
• Develop and report HSSE KPIs to leadership and board.
• Lead incident investigations and OHSA reporting.
• Oversee WSIB claims management and return-to-work planning.
• Chair JHSC and oversee emergency preparedness.
• Support security programma and CGP compliance.
