Job summary

NordSpace Corp in Markham, ON, seeks a Director of Operations to own the operational backbone of the company. You will lead supply chain, logistics, facilities, IT, HSE and security across HQ, test site and launch site, and build the team needed to scale as programs grow.

You will balance capacity between programmes and drive capital planning and vendor engagement. The role requires extensive experience in multi-site operations, strong leadership, and deep knowledge of regulatory frameworks

Qualifications

• Ten+ years of progressive operations experience in aerospace/defence/high-reliability industries.
• Experience leading multi-functional teams at senior or director level.
• Experience operating in a matrix organization and prioritizing competing requirements.
• Multi-site leadership experience, including remote or austere sites.
• Familiarity with export controls and compliance (CGP/ITAR/EAR) is an asset.
• Willingness to be based on-site in Markham and travel to other NordSpace sites.

Responsibilities

• Own operational readiness and capacity across the company’s programmes.
• Balance shared capacity between Launch and Space Systems including facilities, test infrastructure and IT.
• Translate roadmaps into forward operational plans and provide early warnings on readiness.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and capital planning; build business cases for expansions.
• Own enterprise risk management and drive mitigation of constraints to safety, security, or cost.
• Develop the operations organization with hiring, onboarding, performance, and leadership development.
