Job summary

Venters Recruits is seeking a Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Coordinator to drive a strong safety culture across multiple construction sites in Brampton. You will lead safety initiatives, conduct site inspections, and coordinate with the HSE Supervisor to ensure a safe work environment for all crews.

The role requires experience in construction safety, strong knowledge of Ontario regulations, and the ability to deliver effective safety training and onboarding.

Qualifications

• NCSO designation or equivalent health and safety certification and experience.
• Degree or certificate in Occupational Health & Safety or related field.
• 2–5 years of health and safety experience in construction.
• Strong knowledge of Ontario construction health and safety legislation.

Responsibilities

• Lead Joint Health & Safety Committee meetings, inspections, and liaise with the Ministry of Labour.
• Conduct site inspections, monitor compliance, follow up on corrective actions, oversee air quality and site security.
• Develop emergency response and evacuation plans, provide first aid, investigate incidents and implement preventative measures.
• Deliver site orientations, toolbox talks, and safety training for workers on safe work practices.
• Manage permits, inspection reports, training records, and safety documentation.
