Job summary

DIAS is seeking a proactive HSE Coordinator to join our Saskatoon team. You will conduct safety inspections, help develop and update policies reflecting current regulations, and organize training sessions to keep staff safe and compliant.

Reporting to the HSE Director, you will monitor workplace conditions, investigate incidents, perform risk assessments, maintain records, and support continuous safety improvement at remote project locations.

Qualifications

  • Certificate or diploma in Occupational Health and Safety required.
  • Experience in hazard identification, control, emergency planning, incident investigations and inspections.
  • Strong communication with internal and external clients.
  • Knowledge of Federal and Provincial Occupational Health and Safety Legislation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Outlook.
  • Ability to travel to remote project locations as required.

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring compliance of employees before going to the field.
  • Investigate accidents and incidents to determine their cause and develop strategies to prevent future occurrences.
  • Conduct risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement measures to mitigate them.
  • Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incident reports and training sessions.
  • Work closely with the HSE Director to promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
  • Monitor workplace conditions to ensure they do not pose health risks to employees and that environmental regulations are followed.

The HSE Coordinator will report directly to HSE Director.

Job Type : Full-Time, Fixed term contract

Contract length : 6 months with a possibility for extension or becoming permanent.
