Lifting Solutions in Bonnyville, Canada, is seeking an experienced HSE Advisor to strengthen health, safety and environmental performance across Canadian operations. You will implement, coach, and monitor safety programs, support day-to-day field operations, and drive incident investigations and training initiatives.

Reporting to the HSE Manager, you will guide administrators, manage WCB accounts in Alberta and Saskatchewan, and collaborate with operations to meet regulatory and company safety

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as an HSE Advisor with safety management systems and development knowledge.
• CRSP, CSP or NCSO/HSA designation preferred.
• Proven track record of positive collaboration with operations management.

The Opportunity:

Reporting directly to the HSE Manager, Canadian Operations, the HSE Advisor will provide hands-on health, safety, and environmental support to our Bonnyville operations and other assigned bases. As a key member of the HSE team, this role will help strengthen safety performance by supporting day-to-day field operations, coaching employees and leaders, delivering training, and promoting consistent application of Lifting Solutions’ policies, procedures, and best practices.

This position is well suited to an experienced HSE professional who can work independently, manage priorities, and support both routine compliance activities and special projects. The HSE Advisor will also provide guidance and mentorship to HSE administrators and contribute to core safety and claims-management programs, including Canadian WCB accounts for Alberta and Saskatchewan, the Partners in Injury Reduction program, disability management, and return-to-work processes.

Your Responsibilities:

In alignment with the Lifting Solutions culture, mission, vision and values, you will be responsible to:

• Updating the LS Safety Management System and monitor for changes in legislation, Client requirements and required internal improvements
• Research and develop processes, Codes of Practice and safe work procedures/practices that are either not present or are lacking in sufficient detail
• Develop and distribute Safety Alerts, Quarterly Safety Focuses and corporate HSE communications as required including measurement methods, analysis of results and distribution to all company management
• Champion the LS Contractor Management process for the organization
• Ensure proper direction of health, safety and environment activities on all projects and product lines
• Maintains open lines of communication with project and worksite personnel in order to be aware of any developing issues
• Develop plans to reduce incidents by identifying risks and ensuring required risk management plans are implemented by product line (Supply Chain, PCP and Field Services) and Region
• Ensures HSE & Transportation Compliance training is provided to personnel according to a skills development assessment tool
• Participates in investigations of serious incidents and major failures and advises management of required corrections
• Trending in Regions - identification & interpretation
• Maintain visibility in industry related associations and regulatory bodies such as OHS, DOT, PSAC, Enform etc.
• Lead and Participate in the internal Safe Check Audit process and determine the effectiveness of gap closure
• Participate in the Alberta COR Audit process
• Strategic planning by Region and Function
• Work closely with the HSE team to improve the effectiveness of statistical reporting
• Participate with client safety objectives to ensure alignment with LS processes

Your Qualifications and Experience:

• 5+ years of experience as an HSE Advisor with direct safety management systems/process management and development knowledge
• Safety designation of CRSP, CSP or NCSO/HSA preferred
• Proven track record of positive collaboration with operations line management
• Experience managing Workers’ Compensation programs within the Energy Sector
• Must pass an alcohol and drug test to be considered
