Human Resources Talent Acquisition Partner

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Talent Acquisition Partner to join our team and leave a meaningful impact on the community we serve. This position acts as a true partner to the leaders of the Corporation and is responsible for managing the full cycle recruitment process, including identifying staffing needs to onboarding new hires. This role requires a proactive individual with excellent communication skills and a passion for finding and attracting top talent.
Full Cycle Recruitment
- Collaborate with hiring managers to determine staffing requirements and develop job descriptions.
- Create dynamic job postings that attract candidates to the County of Elgin.
- Utilize various channels such as job boards, social media, and networking events to attract potential candidates.
- Conduct initial screenings, assess candidate qualifications and coordinate interviews.
- Prepare interview guides.
- Ensure a positive candidate experience throughout the recruitment process by providing timely feedback and communication.
- Extend job offers and manage the preboarding and onboarding process for new hires.
- Coordinate new hire onboarding with leaders and new hires.
- Promote the organization’s employer brand to attract high-quality candidates with the support from the communications team.
- Track and analyze recruitment metrics to identify areas for improvement and report on hiring progress.
- Complete quarterly Ministry of Long-Term Care reports and reports for Council
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- 3-5 Year experience in talent acquisition or recruitment,
- Experience in a public sector or municipal environment is an asset but not required.
- Experience recruiting in unionized environments with a strong understanding of collective agreements and application in the recruitment process
- Strong understanding of recruitment best practices and employment laws.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with various departments and partners.
- Proficiency in using recruitment software and tools.
- Experience with Dayforce is an asset.
- Ability to analyze data and provide recommendations.
- Strong Attention to detail and organizational skills
Hours: 35 Hours per Week
Remuneration: $39.38 - $46.07 per hour ($71,663.54 - $83,850.86 per year)
