Job summary

Alsco Uniforms in Vancouver seeks an HR Specialist to serve as the primary HR resource for a branch. You will administer HR programs, advise managers on policy, lead workforce processes, and manage the branch HRIS while supporting regional initiatives.

You will own full-cycle hiring, onboarding, payroll support, benefits enrollment, and compliance with government requirements. This role offers growth opportunities within a global leader in uniforms and linen rental.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years’ HR experience, including HRIS and payroll.
• Associate degree in HR, business or related field; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Current PHR, SHRM-CP or similar certification, or ability to obtain within two years of hire.

Responsibilities

• Lead full-cycle hiring and onboarding, including job postings, screening, interviews and onboarding activities.
• Maintain personnel files and HR records in compliance with applicable legal requirements.
• Support payroll and timekeeping by reviewing timecards, processing bonuses, and payroll pre-checks.
• Provide benefits education and assist with enrollment during open enrollment and for new hires.
• Ensure compliance with government requirements, including employment authorization and workers’ compensation reporting.
