Job summary

Alsco Uniforms in Montreal, QC is seeking an HR Specialist to act as the primary HR resource for a branch location. You will administer HR programs, advise managers on policy, lead workforce processes, and manage HRIS while handling special projects for the location and region.

You will lead full-cycle hiring and onboarding, maintain personnel records, support payroll and timekeeping, and provide benefits education.

Qualifications

• Two years of HR experience, including HRIS and payroll exposure.
• Associate degree in HR, business, or related field; bachelor’s preferred.
• Current HR certification or ability to obtain within two years.

Responsibilities

• Lead full-cycle hiring and onboarding including job postings, resume review, interviews, and onboarding.
• Maintain personnel files and ensure legal compliance for records.
• Support payroll, timekeeping, commissions, and payroll accuracy.
• Provide benefits education and assist enrollment during open enrollment.
• Ensure government compliance and assist with HR audits and training.
• Coordinate communications, performance, and engagement initiatives.
• Partner with managers and workers to support labor relations and union agreements.
• Investigate employee concerns and lead recruitment meetings.
