Our Downtown Vancouver client is seeking an experienced HR Specialist to join their team. This is a hands-on HR position suited to someone who enjoys owning day-to-day HR activities, supporting employees and managers, and ensuring HR programs and processes are well organized and effectively delivered.

About The Opportunity
The HR Specialist will take ownership of a broad range of day-to-day HR activities, working closely with leadership, managers, and employees across the organization. This role will be a key resource for employee relations, performance management, recruitment, policy administration, and ongoing HR initiatives.
About The Position
- Act as a key point of contact for employees and managers on day-to-day HR matters.
- Coordinate and administer the performance management program.
- Support employee relations matters, including investigations and more complex issues.
- Manage full-cycle recruitment, including job postings, screening, interviews, references, offers, and coordination with hiring managers.
- Support employee lifecycle activities including onboarding, employment changes, leaves, and offboarding.
- Review and make recommendations on HR policies and procedures.
- Provide guidance on employment standards and applicable legislation.
- Support HRIS reporting, and process improvements.
- Contribute to HR initiatives and special projects.
- Complete general HR administration and ensure employee records and documentation are accurate and up to date.
The Requirements
- 6+ years of progressive HR experience.
- Degree or Diploma in Human Resources.
- CPHR designation or actively working towards.
- Experience with employee relations, investigations, performance management, recruitment, and HR policies.
- Demonstrated knowledge and ability to interpret employment standards and applicable legislation.
Prior responsibility managing day-to-day HR activities and employee/manager inquiries.- Experience working with HRIS systems and HR reporting.
- Strong organizational and administrative skills with a process-oriented approach.
- Strong judgement, attention to detail, and ability to manage competing priorities.
- Demonstrates an analytical approach to HR systems and processes.
Compensation
- Annual salary range is $75,000 - $85,000 depending on experience.
