Job summary

CW Kitchens in Cambridge, Ontario is seeking an HR Manager to lead HR functions, align values with strategy, and strengthen culture. The role reports to the President and collaborates with the leadership team.

The successful candidate will drive employee engagement, oversee payroll and benefits, ensure compliance with Ontario laws, and implement innovative HR initiatives with a strategic, autonomous approach.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive Human Resources experience.
• Strong experience handling a wide variety of employee relations and workplace situations.
• Strong knowledge of Ontario employment legislation and HR best practices.
• Experience coaching managers and supporting leadership teams.
• CHRP/CHRL is an asset but not required; practical HR experience is more important.

• Shape, promote, and maintain a strong and positive company culture.
• Work directly with the President to align company values with HR initiatives.
• Foster employee engagement through feedback and recognition programs and cultural events.
• Monitor employee sentiment and implement improvements to boost morale and retention.
• Meet regularly with production leaders to ensure connection to all levels of the organization.
• Manage employee relations, including workplace concerns, conflict resolution, discipline, accommodations and terminations.
• Coach and support managers and supervisors through employee and performance situations.
• Lead initiatives that improve company culture, employee engagement, communication and trust.
• Manage full-cycle recruitment and onboarding.
• Manage performance reviews, performance improvement and employee development.
• Support leadership development, succession planning and workforce planning.
• Participate in strategic business and people decisions alongside the Senior Leadership Team.
• Identify opportunities for company-wide HR improvements and lead initiatives from planning through implementation.
• Own Health & Safety, JHSC, WSIB and return-to-work processes.
• Coordinate payroll with the Bookkeeper and manage benefits administration.
• Maintain HR policies, employee documentation and compliance with Ontario employment legislation.
• Use technology and AI tools to improve recruitment and HR processes.

We currently have an opening for an HR Manager. The successful candidate will execute on all human resources functions while reporting directly to the President and working collaboratively with the other members of the management team. This is a strategic role with autonomy to present ideas and implement approved solutions.

Schedule: Monday–Friday, primarily onsite with remote work flex days provided as per company policy

Compensation

$85,000 annually with bonus potential based on established KPIs and benefit coverage
