CROVEN CRYSTALS is seeking a detail-oriented HR Generalist & Accounting Assistant to support day-to-day HR and accounting for our small manufacturing team in Whitby. This hands-on role suits a proactive individual comfortable in a multi-functional environment.

The ideal candidate will manage confidential information, coordinate payroll, onboarding, benefits, and basic accounting tasks while maintaining strong communication with staff and management.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience in HR, accounting, payroll, or related administrative role.
• Working knowledge of basic HR practices, payroll, bookkeeping, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate and confidential employee personnel files.
• Maintain accurate and consistent employee information in Payroll, Time and Attendance, HCM and Group Benefit systems.
• Administer employee benefits and respond to routine employee questions.
• Stay informed about applicable employment standards, workplace legislation, and other HR requirements and maintain updates to Employee Handbook.
• Process payroll and related forms and documentation.
• Assist with recruitment activities, including posting job openings, scheduling interviews, etc.
• Complete new-hire onboarding, including employment documentation, orientation, and employee records
• Support employee communications and company events as needed.
