- Provide administrative support for performance reviews, policy updates, and team member relations documentation and conversations preparation
- Support the Recruiter in the interview process; posting jobs, screening resumes, coordinating interviews, and onboarding new hires as needed. Build relationships with universities for talent acquisition purposes.
- Assist with benefits administration, including enrolments, changes and team member inquires.
- Support the Compensation and Benefits Manager with matters related to leaves such as Short-Term Disability (STD), Long-Term Disability (LTD), Workers' Compensation (WCB), and Return to Work planning.
- Assist with morale building activities for all Canada based locations
- Maintain team member records in accordance with privacy legislation and organizational policies with both professionalism and confidentiality in mind.
- Support and implement team member engagement initiatives and learning and development programs.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations (e.g., Employment Standards Code, OH&S, human rights legislation).
- Partner with the US HR team to adapt global policies and programs for local implementation.
- Travel to other provinces as needed to support HR initiatives, employee relations and regional operations.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications :
- 3 5 years of progressive HR experience
- Strong knowledge of Canadian labour laws and provincial employment standards.
- Post-secondary degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field; CPHR designation (or working toward it) preferred
- Proficient in MS Office and HRIS systems.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced and constantly changing environment.
- Proven ability to maintain composure and confidentiality when handling sensitive information.
- Excellent organizational, oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to influence leadership and support decision-making processes.
- Comfortable working independently while collaborating across borders.
