HR Consultant (18-Month Maternity Leave Coverage)
Location: Langford, BC (supporting 6 McDonald's restaurants)
Wage: $29.00 per hour | Approx. $60,000 annually
Contract Dates: July 1, 2025 - December 31, 2026

Your Role at a GlancePeople Strategy & Culture- Lead execution of our people plan across all six restaurants
- Support HR practices that align with business goals and compliance standards
- Foster a respectful, inclusive, and positive work culture
Employee Experience- Conduct pulse checks and support conflict resolution processes
- Coach GMs and leaders on policy, performance, and retention strategies
- Champion employee engagement and workplace wellbeing
Talent Development & Staffing- Manage hiring pipelines and onboarding
- Support operations in the development of all roles
- Support succession planning and leadership growth pathways
- Utilize multiple channels to attract diverse, qualified candidates
HR Operations & Metrics- Manage COEs, WSIB, and related HR processes
- Use HRIS systems to track turnover, staffing, and compliance
- Monitor KPIs and adjust plans based on data insights
Restaurant Profitability Support- Support General Managers and Operations Consultants with coaching and performance tools
- Assist with audits, ROIP action planning, and turnaround strategies
- Help tie people practices directly to restaurant performance
Workforce Planning & Talent Management- Lead workforce planning initiatives and maintain a strong talent pipeline
- Oversee market-wide staffing to keep all restaurants operating smoothly
Your Vibe & Experience- HR diploma, degree, or strong experience in a people-focused role
- Comfort working independently and managing multiple priorities
- Strong communication and coaching skills
- Bonus if you've worked with McDonald's systems or in a multi-location environment
