Job summary

Ledcor Group in Vancouver is seeking an HR Business Partner to drive people-focused solutions and partner with business leaders to shape the employee experience across our Shared Services group. You will advise on performance management, engagement, policy interpretation, and HR initiatives while collaborating with HR teams to implement enterprise-wide strategies.

The role requires 5–8 years of HR experience, a Bachelor’s degree in HR/Business, solid knowledge of employment law, and proficiency

Qualifications

  • 5–8 years of progressive HR experience, ideally in a Business Partner role.
  • Bachelor's degree in HR Management, Business, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of employment and human rights legislation.
  • Proven skills in conflict resolution, coaching, and relationship management.
  • Strong business acumen and HR experience with a proven track record as a HR partner in a large and dynamic organization.
  • Knowledge of HRIS systems; Workday preferred.
  • Ability to balance multiple priorities, work under pressure within established time constraints, meet deadlines and objectives, and proactively take a customer service approach to activities.
  • Strong problem resolution skills and the ability to effectively respond to questions and concerns from employees and managers, along with other stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to effectively communicate with line level employees through senior leaders.
  • Has sound judgment, decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally via verbal and written communication.
  • A strategic mindset with the ability to influence and build trust across all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to leaders and employees on HR topics including performance management, employee engagement, conflict resolution, and policy interpretation
  • Partner with business leaders, Recruitment, and HR teams to support workforce planning, talent acquisition, onboarding, and workforce readiness activities, ensuring current and future staffing needs are identified, workforce risks are mitigated, and employees are effectively integrated into the organization
  • Partner with business units to identify and address people-related challenges that impact operational success
  • Collaborate with HR Centers of Excellence and Service Center teams to deliver integrated HR solutions
  • Partners with all areas and levels of the business to provide resolution along with longer term root cause analysis of why issue occurred, make recommendations and drive improvement initiatives
  • Ensures the consistent application of (and compliance with) HR and company policies, processes and systems
  • Builds strong working relationships within other areas of HR to gain and share knowledge of changes, new programs, policies, etc. with employees and managers

Are you a strategic Human Resources professional with a passion for partnering with business leaders to drive people-focused solutions? Join our dynamic Human Resources team as an HR Business Partner and play a key role in shaping the employee experience across our organization. As an HR Business Partner, you’ll support a portfolio of divisional business units within our Shared Services group, providing expert guidance on a wide range of human resources matters. You’ll collaborate closely with leaders and HR colleagues to implement enterprise-wide initiatives, resolve employee relations issues, and support talent strategies that align with business goals.

Work Conditions:

Must be able to work on-site 3 days per week out of our Vancouver, BC office as part of our hybrid work model

Compensation:

$76,400.00 - $105,050.00 This is the expected base pay range for this role. Individual base pay will be determined based on a variety of factors including experience, knowledge, skills, education and location.
