Job summary

Ledcor is seeking an Indigenous Relations Coordinator in Vancouver, BC, to foster relationships with Indigenous communities. You will support strategic planning and help ensure alignment with corporate commitments.

Ledcor is seeking an Indigenous Relations Coordinator to join the Indigenous Affairs team. You will work with Ledcor leadership, internal Shared Services, and project teams to foster and maintain a strong relationship between Ledcor and Indigenous communities. You will support in the implementation of Strategic and Tactical planning for all functions and activities attributed to the Indigenous Affairs Team. You are a team player and willing to learn the business acumen to support all Ledcor’s diverse businesses.

As the Indigenous Relations Coordinator you will support the execution of Ledcor’s Indigenous Relations Strategic and Tactical Plan. In this role you will play a key part in fostering respectful and meaningful relationships with Indigenous communities and advancing engagement initiatives in alignment with corporate and client commitments. Collaborating with internal stakeholders such as proposal teams, project teams, and shared services groups to support Indigenous participation and community relationship efforts across the enterprise. There will be a focus on executing established strategies and supporting day-to-day coordination across multiple teams.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Supports the implementation of Indigenous Relations strategies at both project and business unit levels
  • Assists in building and maintaining relationships with Indigenous communities, organizations, and stakeholders
  • Coordinates Indigenous engagement events, including logistics and material preparation
  • Provides internal teams with guidance on community priorities and cultural protocols
  • Collaborates on proposals and execution plans with Indigenous engagement content
  • Tracks Indigenous participation commitments and compiles data for reporting
  • Maintains documentation and liaises with stakeholders to ensure accurate reporting of commitments
  • Develops internal tools, training materials, and promotes awareness of Indigenous Relations goals
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in Indigenous relations, stakeholder engagement, community relations, or a related field
  • Experience supporting or coordinating Indigenous engagement programs or initiatives is preferred. Familiarity with Indigenous communities, protocols, and regulatory environments within Canada is considered a strong asset
  • Degree/Diploma in Communications and/or Indigenous Studies
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to draft clear and culturally appropriate content
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a dynamic environment
  • Experience working with internal tracking systems or databases to support reporting and documentation
  • Strong business acumen and construction industry knowledge will be considered an asset

Compensation

$60,000.00 - $82,500.00

This is the expected base pay range for this role. Individual base pay will be determined based on a variety of factors including experience, knowledge, skills, education and location.
