Bayshore HealthCare in Mississauga is seeking a Senior HR Business Partner to partner with senior leaders across operations. You will lead HR strategy, drive workforce planning, and coach leaders on employee relations in a fast‑paced, multi‑location environment.

The role requires strong partnership skills, change management experience, and a WHS‑compliant approach to HR processes. Hybrid work arrangement with onsite presence in Mississauga.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of progressive HR experience, ideally in a multi-location service organization.
  • Ability to partner with senior leaders, influence outcomes, and provide trusted HR counsel.
  • Experience leading organizational design, change management, and workforce optimization initiatives.

  • Partner with senior leaders and branch management to understand priorities and propose HR strategies.
  • Lead and develop a team of HR Coordinators to deliver frontline HR services.
  • Provide direction to HR Coordinators, ensuring policy compliance and consistent service delivery.
  • Advise Operations leaders and balance business needs with HR governance and risk management.
  • Drive organizational effectiveness through workforce planning and talent optimization.
  • Lead change management initiatives and ensure effective communication and engagement.
  • Coach leaders through complex employee matters within provincial legislation.

The Human Resources Business Partner under the direction of the Director, HR will partner with various leadership and Branch Human Resources representatives to provide deep expertise and hands on support in all areas of human resources (HR) management. This includes implementing national and local HR strategies in the areas of employee relations and engagement, performance and change management, organizational design, reward and recognition, training and development, recruitment, selection, retention, and compensation. S/he will drive HR excellence in alignment with Bayshore’s values, culture, and specific business objectives.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Partner with senior leaders and branch management to understand operational priorities, identify HR gaps, and recommend strategies that drive consistency and value.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of HR Coordinators aligned to the business portfolio, ensuring high quality, consistent delivery of employee lifecycle and frontline HR services.
  • Provide clear direction, prioritization, and oversight to HR Coordinators, ensuring compliance with standardized processes, policies, and service expectations.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to Operations leaders, balancing business responsiveness with strong HR governance, risk management, and consistency.
  • Drive organizational effectiveness through workforce planning, organizational design, restructuring, and talent optimization.
  • Lead and support change management initiatives, ensuring smooth transitions, effective communication, and sustained engagement.
  • Promote positive employee relations and coach leaders through complex employee matters, including performance management, disciplinary actions, and terminations, in compliance with provincial legislation.
  • Implement and embed national HR strategies, programs, and policies while balancing local business needs and operational realities.
  • Champion health and safety initiatives and legislative compliance within the branches.
  • Build leadership capability by preparing managers and HR representatives to address employee issues through coaching, guidance, and targeted training.
  • Act as the HR lead for assigned national programs or projects and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aligned with the Quality Management System.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of employee, client, and corporate information.

Work Location : Bayshore Healthcare, National Office, Mississauga ON Hybrid – At least 3 days onsite weekly

Education & Professional Designation
  • Post‑secondary education in Human Resources or a related field
  • CHRP designation (or working toward) preferred
  • Bilingual (English/French) is an asset
Experience & Core Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive HR experience, preferably within a multi‑location, service‑driven organization
  • Demonstrated experience leading, coaching, or managing HR professionals, ideally in a matrix or portfolio‑based environment
  • Proven ability to partner with senior leaders, influence outcomes, and provide trusted HR counsel at multiple organizational levels
  • Experience leading organizational design, change management, and workforce optimization initiatives
  • Strong working knowledge of federal and provincial employment legislation across Canada, including employment standards, labour relations, human rights, health and safety, and pay equity
  • Experience supporting both unionized and non‑unionized environments
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex, sensitive employee relations matters with sound judgment and discretion
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to align HR strategies to operational and financial objectives
  • Advanced communication and relationship‑building skills, with the ability to coach leaders and resolve issues effectively
  • Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, evolving environment while managing multiple priorities and stakeholders
  • Proficient with HR technology and systems (e.g., MS Office, HRIS/PeopleSoft or equivalent)
  • Experience within the healthcare sector considered an asset
