Position Overview
The HR Business Partner (HRBP) plays a strategic role in aligning human resources practices with business objectives. This role serves as a trusted advisor to managers and employees, ensuring that HR initiatives support workforce engagement, organizational effectiveness, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Employee Relations & Engagement
- Serve as a primary contact for employee concerns, conflict resolution, and workplace investigations.
- Ensure a positive and inclusive work environment, fostering employee engagement and retention.
- Talent Management & Recruitment
- Support recruitment with a Tsuut’ina lens, ensuring equitable hiring practices and increasing Indigenous representation.
- Ensure Criminal Record Checks are completed for all new hires as part of the pre-employment process.
- Partner with department heads to identify talent gaps and workforce needs.
- Assist in recruitment efforts, interviewing, and onboarding processes.
- Develop and implement training and career development programs to enhance employee growth and leadership skills.
- Coordinate Orientation for new employees
- Benefits Administration & Compliance
- Oversee benefits enrollment and monitoring, ensuring employees understand their options and receive timely support.
- Ensure compliance with employment laws, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Support HR initiatives related to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
- WCB Claims & Return to Work Initiatives
- Act as the point of contact for WCB claims, ensuring proper documentation and compliance.
- Develop and implement return-to-work programs, including accommodations for injured employees.
- Work closely with managers and employees to facilitate a safe and smooth transition back to work.
- AGLC Licensing & Regulatory Compliance
- Assist with AGLC licensing processes, ensuring employees meet all regulatory requirements.
- Ensure training is up to date for all employees.
- Monitor licensing status and ensure renewals are completed on time
Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
- Strong computer proficiency (ie. Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
