HR Associate, Compensation & Labour Relations

Join to apply for the HR Associate, Compensation & Labour Relations role at City of Vancouver.

This position supports the Compensation & Benefits and Labour Relations departments by managing information on compensation, benefits, and job evaluation issues. Responsibilities include communication with unions and departments, maintaining workflow systems such as eCAF, and administering vacation policies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage email inboxes, mail, courier deliveries, and workflow distribution
  • Maintain filing systems and records related to grievances and collective bargaining
  • Track and update collective agreement details
  • Respond to inquiries regarding vacation entitlements and policies
  • Collaborate with payroll and HR teams to resolve vacation and time entry issues
  • Prepare and revise forms, process documents, and correspondence
  • Support grievance, arbitration, and collective bargaining processes
  • Maintain and analyze workflow systems and generate reports
  • Assist in system audits and improvements for the eCAF system
  • Prepare reports, correspondence, and intranet content
  • Process invoices and perform ad hoc HR projects
Minimum Qualifications
  • Diploma in Human Resources plus two years' experience in a unionized environment or equivalent
  • Experience with HRIS systems for data analysis
Skills and Abilities
  • Understanding of HR policies, collective agreements, and grievance procedures
  • Proficiency in office software and HR systems like SAP
  • Strong communication, discretion, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Additional Information

This role offers a flexible work arrangement, subject to operational needs. The position is full-time, with a start date in July 2025, and a salary range of $62,007 to $77,504 annually. The application deadline is June 8, 2025.
