Community Development Council Durham (CDCD) seeks a Team Lead for Opening Doors Durham to coordinate day-to-day housing operations, lead staff, and support landlords and clients in Durham Region. Qualifications

  • Demonstrated 3–5 years of supervisory experience in a community-based housing or related agency.
  • Completion of a college diploma or undergraduate degree in Social Work or other relevant discipline.
  • At least 2+ years leading projects and teams.
  • Knowledge of housing sector and anti-oppression frameworks.
  • Proven ability to work with landlords and landlords associations; valid Ontario driver’s license.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the daily operations of the Opening Doors Durham program to ensure services are efficient, client-centered, and results-driven.
  • Lead the ODD team, supervise staff, monitor referrals, and ensure timely processing.
  • Maintain the ODD Referral Spreadsheet and Unit Tracking Spreadsheet with accuracy.
  • Develop landlord engagement strategies to increase access to safe, affordable housing.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable legislation and funder reporting; liaise with Housing Manager.
