Housekeeping Supervisor

  • Lead and supervise the day-to-day operation of the department to ensure service standards are met with friendly and engaging service.
  • Conduct daily inspections of guest rooms, corridors, and public areas to ensure cleanliness and maintenance standards.
  • Handle guest concerns efficiently and promptly, tracking and notifying the appropriate departments to ensure memorable guest experiences.
  • Actively participate in daily briefings, warm-up sessions, and departmental meetings.
  • Ensure Room Attendants are informed of daily priorities and special instructions within their assigned sections.
  • Inspect guest rooms, corridors, and public areas to ensure they meet cleanliness and maintenance standards.
  • Report and follow up on necessary maintenance items and repair work.
  • Provide training, coaching, and ongoing support to room attendants and other housekeeping colleagues.
  • Supervise team productivity and adherence to safety, sanitation, and grooming standards.
  • Monitor and maintain housekeeping supply inventory and ensure proper use of cleaning equipment and products.
  • Ensure a clean and safe working environment and actively participate in workplace health and safety initiatives.
  • Adhere to all hotel environmental policies and sustainability initiatives.
  • Carry out any other duties as assigned by leadership.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a similar role or environment, demonstrating professional, friendly, and engaging service.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel).
  • Previous experience with Opera or similar property management systems is an asset.
  • Flexible to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Proven ability to lead, motivate, and support a diverse team of colleagues.
  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities; leads by example in all aspects of service and teamwork.
  • Self-motivated with strong decision-making skills and the ability to maintain high service levels under pressure.
  • Service-focused personality with a passion for delivering outstanding guest experiences.
  • Demonstrated initiative and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
