Job summary

Yee Hong Centre for Geriatric Care is seeking a dedicated housekeeping and laundry attendant at its Mississauga campus to support residents and maintain a clean, safe environment across the site.

Under the supervision of the Facility Manager, you will perform cleaning tasks, assist with laundry, manage supplies, and use computer/phone apps. A strong customer-service mindset and ability to follow instructions in English are essential; knowledge of Chinese is a plus.

Qualifications

• Able to perform heavy lifting and handle cleaning tasks to standard.
• Experience in institutional housekeeping or laundry is an asset.
• Excellent customer service and communication in English; Chinese is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Perform housekeeping and laundry tasks under the Facility Manager.
• Maintain a safe, clean environment and assist residents as needed.
• Use computer/phone applications for tasks and communications.

Through this comprehensive network, the organization serves more than 15,000 individuals annually across the Greater Toronto Area.Under the direction of the Facility Manager, responsible for performing housekeeping and laundry tasks in an efficient and cooperative manner, and with due consideration for the needs and comfort of the residents.**Qualifications:*** Able to perform heavy lifting tasks and visual acuity for inspecting linens and to ensure cleaning tasks are performed to standard* Some experience in institutional housekeeping or laundry is an asset* Excellent customer service skills* Must be comfortable using computer/phone applications* Satisfactory Police Vulnerable Sector Screen* Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions in English.
