Job summary

Peterborough Regional Health Centre is seeking a Part-Time Housekeeping Attendant to maintain a clean and safe environment across patient, staff, and public areas. The role supports infection control through cleaning and disinfection in accordance with hospital protocols.

The position is temporary (fixed term) and ends 2026-10-20, with shifts including days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays. Prior hospital cleaning experience is preferred and applicants must meet basic education

Qualifications

• Completion of Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD), GED, or equivalent required.
• Previous cleaning experience in hospital, healthcare, or hospitality environment preferred.
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques and use of cleaning equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean and safe environment in patient, staff and public areas.

The work of Cleaners influences the incidence of infection in the hospital by reducing the numbers of microorganisms from the health care environment. This is accomplished by environmental cleaning and disinfection.
