Job summary

Peterborough Regional Health Centre (PRHC) is seeking a part-time Housekeeping Attendant to help maintain a clean and safe hospital environment. The role supports infection prevention through thorough cleaning and disinfection across patient, staff and public areas, with duties adapting to different hospital zones.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent, prior hospital or healthcare cleaning experience, and the ability to follow procedures, read instructions, and work well

Qualifications

• Completion of an Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD), GED, or equivalent required.
• Previous cleaning experience in a hospital, healthcare or hospitality environment preferred.
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques and use of cleaning equipment preferred.

Changes made to hours of work will follow the terms of the applicable collective agreement, company policy and/or legislation. **Type of Shifts: Days, Evenings, Nights, Weekends, Statutory Holidays****WHAT YOU’LL DO:**The cleaner is responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment in patient, staff and public areas. The work of Cleaners influences the incidence of infection in the hospital by reducing the numbers of microorganisms from the health care environment. This is accomplished by environmental cleaning and disinfection.
