Job summary

Sienna Senior Living is seeking a Housekeeping Aide for Streetsville Community in Mississauga, Ontario. You will maintain a clean, safe living environment for residents while building meaningful relationships and supporting a culture of dignity and respect.

Qualifications

• Secondary school diploma or approved equivalent.
• Legally eligible to work in Canada or have a valid work/study permit.
• Must successfully pass a Vulnerable Sector Check.
• Must successfully pass a Criminal Records Check (BC applicants).

Responsibilities

• Perform thorough cleaning of resident rooms and common areas.
• Ensure supplies and equipment are in good working order.
• Deliver cleaning in a positive, professional manner.
• Respect residents' privacy and prepare rooms for new residents.
• Contribute to a welcoming, caring environment for residents.

What You’ll Be Doing

You will be a welcomed member of the Long Term Care team at Community, working in a fast-paced environment where you will make a meaningful difference in residents’ lives. As a Housekeeping Aide, you will do meaningful work everyday ensuring a safe and clean environment for residents’. As an individual and part of a wider team, you will be a strong contributor to the culture of the home, where the focus is always on helping residents live fully, every day.

How You’ll Succeed

• Provide Thorough Cleaning
• Provide excellent cleaning and sanitizing of the residents’ rooms as well as the common areas in the community
• Ensure the supplies are suitable and the equipment is in proper working order
• Deliver the cleaning in a positive and professional manner
• Provide Resident Privacy and Room Preparation
• Ensure residents' privacy is respected
• Prepare rooms for new Residents ensuring they are clean, sanitized, and welcoming
