Job summary

PARC Retirement Living in North Vancouver is hiring a Housekeeper for a temporary, full-time role (30-40 hours per week) with a 9:00am–4:45pm schedule. The hourly rate is 27.85 CAD.

You will clean resident suites and shared spaces, perform laundry, and help maintain a safe, tidy environment for residents.

Candidates should have at least two years in hospitality or senior living, Grade 10 + WHMIS, and strong attention to detail with good English communication.

Qualifications

  • Grade 10 high school education or equivalent, WHMIS training.
  • At least two years in hospitality or senior-living industry.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to read, write and communicate in English.

Responsibilities

  • Clean resident suites, bathrooms, kitchens, floors and common areas according to schedule.
  • Perform laundry services for residents as needed.
  • Identify, report and log maintenance issues to management.
  • Maintain housekeeping room, equipment and carts in safe condition.
  • Replenish carts and handle cleaning chemicals safely.

As a PARC Housekeeper, you are a caretaker of this vision – responsible for cleaning resident suites and common areas to create a safe, tidy and pleasant environment for residents. This includes:

  • Cleaning and sanitizing suites, bathrooms, kitchens, floors and common areas according to a pre-set schedule.
  • Performing laundry services for residents as needed.
  • Identifying, reporting and logging potential maintenance issues to management.
  • Maintaining the housekeeping room, equipment and carts in safe and sanitary condition.
  • Replenishing housekeeping carts and managing cleaning chemicals safely.

  • You have at least two years of similar experience in the hospitality or senior-living industry.
  • You have completed Grade 10 high school education or equivalent, along with the WHMIS program, and you are able to read, write and effectively communicate in English.
  • You pride yourself on excellent attention to detail and work to the highest cleaning standards.
  • You’re able to self-direct and work effectively with minimal supervision.
  • You understand and respect the needs of seniors, their families, and and other professional services engaged with our residents.
