Job summary

PARC Retirement Living is seeking a Housekeeper for the Cristalina PARC team in Kelowna. The role focuses on cleaning resident suites and common areas to create a safe, tidy environment for residents, with attention to detail and adherence to high cleaning standards.

Ideal candidates have at least two years of hospitality or senior-living experience, Grade 10 or equivalent with WHMIS, and strong English communication.

Qualifications

• Two years of similar experience in hospitality or senior-living.
• Completed Grade 10 education or equivalent along with WHMIS.
• Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English.
• Proud attention to detail and cleaning standards.

Responsibilities

• Clean resident suites and common areas on a preset schedule.
• Perform laundry services for residents as needed.
• Identify, report and log maintenance issues to management.
• Maintain housekeeping room, equipment and carts in safe condition.
• Replenish carts and handle cleaning chemicals safely.

As a PARC Housekeeper, you are a caretaker of this vision – responsible for cleaning resident suites and common areas to create a safe, tidy and pleasant environment for residents. This includes:

• Cleaning and sanitizing suites, bathrooms, kitchens, floors and common areas according to a pre-set schedule.
• Performing laundry services for residents as needed.
• Identifying, reporting and logging potential maintenance issues to management.
• Maintaining the housekeeping room, equipment and carts in safe and sanitary condition.
• Replenishing housekeeping carts and managing cleaning chemicals safely.

• You have at least two years of similar experience in the hospitality or senior-living industry.
• You have completed Grade 10 high school education or equivalent, along with the WHMIS program, and you are able to read, write and effectively communicate in English.
• You pride yourself on excellent attention to detail and work to the highest cleaning standards.
• You’re able to self-direct and work effectively with minimal supervision.
• You understand and respect the needs of seniors, their families, and and other professional services engaged with our residents.
