WHAT'S THE JOB?

With over 25 years of experience, Horizon North is a leader in remote camp catering. As a Housekeeper reporting to the Lead Housekeeper, Housekeeping Manager, or Lodge Manager, you will ensure the cleanliness of our facilities to the highest standards. This is a rotational position working 14 days on / 14 days off at a remote camp site.

Your responsibilities include :

• Conducting walk-downs and cleaning approximately 50 rooms per day, depending on occupancy.
• Providing full housekeeping services in guest rooms and hallways.
• Making beds daily and changing linens weekly or as needed.
• Vacuuming and dusting all furniture, blinds, and surfaces.
• Washing, scrubbing, and sanitizing bathrooms, windows, and mirrors.
• Emptying garbage and recycling from all sleeping areas.
• Washing and folding towels, linens, and bedding.
• Loading and unloading laundry, linen, and supply trucks.
• Maintaining accurate records of bedding and assisting with inventory, reporting shortages to the Lodge Manager.

Qualifications

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

• Some housekeeping and / or janitorial experience preferred.
• Knowledge of cleaning procedures, chemicals, products, and equipment.
• Experience in remote lodge settings or hotels is an asset.
• Fluent in English with excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Physical Demands

• Lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs.
• Climb ladders and stairs.
• Stand, walk, squat, kneel, or sit for extended periods.
• Perform repetitive hand work with full use of both hands.
• Work with arms above shoulder height.
