Renfrewshire Council is seeking a reliable part-time care home services assistant to deliver catering, cleaning and laundry tasks across all care home areas in Ontario. You will help maintain client dignity and confidentiality while meeting service standards.

The role is 16 hours per week on a 5 days over 7 rota including alternating weekends. Experience in catering, cleaning or laundry and good hygiene awareness are valued; SVQ qualifications are desirable.

Qualifications

• SVQ in Catering/ Cleaning or elementary food hygiene certificate desirable.

Description du poste

You will provide a consistent high-quality service in all areas allocated to you within the care home environment to ensure that the environment meets the requirements of the service specification and expectations of clients and staff alike.

Key tasks for which you will be responsible include; carrying out tasks relating to catering, cleaning and laundry services; ensuring that the clients’ dignity and confidentiality is maintained at all times; working within all areas of the care home environment of Facilities Management Soft Services as instructed by the Assistant Facilities Housekeeper or other appropriate manager and ensuring that all areas used by the clients and care staff are maintained to the required standard on a consistent and timely basis.

It is essential that you have experience of working within the catering, cleaning and laundry service and high awareness of current hygiene practices. You must have organisational, communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work as part of a team.

An SVQ (or equivalent) in Catering, SVQ (or equivalent) in Cleaning or elementary food hygiene certificate are desirable.

Please note that this post is temporary, subject to business needs and funding for 12 months or until the requirement for the post ceases, whichever date is the earlier.
